BOYNECLARKE LLP would like to congratulate our partner Kathryn A. Raymond, Arb., Med., LLB., on her re-appointment to the Nova Scotia Minister of Labour’s List of Arbitrators. The Minister of Labour’s List of Arbitrators is a key resource that assists parties to a collective agreement when they are unable to agree on an arbitrator. In those cases either party can apply to the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education to request that the Minister appoint an arbitrator from the Minister of Labour’s List to resolve the matter.

As an arbitrator and mediator, Kathryn resolves conflicts effecting both unionized and non-unionized workplaces. She helps the parties develop a customized and confidential process to resolve the specific issue effectively. Kathryn has 6 years of both private and public adjudicative experience, including appointment as a Vice-Chair of the Labour Board (Nova Scotia) and as a Nova Scotia Human Rights Board of Inquiry. Kathryn has 30 years of experience practicing in the areas of administrative law litigation, health law, professional regulation, employment & labour law, human rights and governance, having practiced in both Ontario and Nova Scotia.
