How We Help
Our firm runs a number of initiatives designed to strengthen and support our community. These include:
Summer Student Program
This award-winning program connects law students with local community-based organizations, providing both with the support they need to grow and learn. If your organization is chosen to participate, you will receive valuable, pro-bono assistance from a law student. If you are a participating law student, you will receive a competitive salary while you gain work experience with a community-based organization.
Volunteer Time Program
When our employees find a community organization they are passionate about, we are behind them 100%. Through our Volunteer Time Program, employees are provided with paid time off so that they can give back to their communities by working with local service organizations and schools.
Staff-Driven Initiatives
Many of our community efforts are planned and run by members of our staff—in fact, the majority of BOYNECLARKE LLP’s team fundraising efforts are staff-driven. Whether they’re fundraising for one of a number of charities throughout the year, or sponsoring a family during the holidays, our employees are unfailingly committed to bettering our communities.
Community Giving
We donate to 6 different staff-selected charities each year. The Community Giving charities chosen for 2026 are:
- Alice House (January/February)
- Feed Nova Scotia (March/April)
- The North Grove (May/June)
- Canadian Cancer Society (July/August)
- Hope for Wildlife (September/October)
- Bide Awhile (November/December)
