Commitment to community is a closely held value at BOYNECLARKE LLP.
At BOYNECLARKE LLP, we understand that the success and well-being of our clients is often rooted in our shared community. That is why we are deeply committed to giving back in as many ways as possible.
Not only do we offer support to our community through donations and event sponsorship, we also encourage our lawyers and staff to be actively involved with community organizations they are passionate about.
How We Help
Our firm runs a number of initiatives designed to strengthen and support our community. These include:
Summer Student Program
This award-winning program connects law students with local community-based organizations, providing both with the support they need to grow and learn. If your organization is chosen to participate, you will receive valuable, pro-bono assistance from a law student. If you are a participating law student, you will receive a competitive salary while you gain work experience with a community-based organization.
Volunteer Time Program
When our employees find a community organization they are passionate about, we are behind them 100%. Through our Volunteer Time Program, employees are provided with paid time off so that they can give back to their communities by working with local service organizations and schools.
Many of our community efforts are planned and run by members of our staff—in fact, the majority of BOYNECLARKE LLP’s team fundraising efforts are staff-driven. Whether they’re fundraising for one of a number of charities throughout the year, or sponsoring a family during the holidays, our employees are unfailingly committed to bettering our communities.
Every month on behalf of those people who wish to dress casually on a Friday we donate to a different, staff-selected charity. The Casual Day charities chosen for 2018 are:
- Heart & Stroke Foundation of NS
- Adsum House
- Bide Awhile Animal Shelter
- Bryony House
- Canadian Mental Health Association, NS Division
- IWK Foundation
- FEED Nova Scotia
- Feedings Others of Dartmouth (Margaret’s House)
- Hope for Wildlife
- Christmas Families
BOYNECLARKE LLP also sets one month’s fundraising aside for unexpected events, such as a natural disaster. Should no unprecedented event occur in a given year, the funds raised during that ‘spare’ month will be donated to Warmth for the Homeless.
If you are a charitable or non-profit organization looking for our support, we would love to hear from you.
