BOYNECLARKE has appointed Alanna Mayne to a new role as Director, Lawyer Development. This unique position provides support, guidance, and legal education opportunities to all lawyers at the firm, with an important focus on associates and new lawyers.

Mayne joined BOYNECLARKE in 2017 as an associate and joined the partnership in 2020. She has extensive experience working in lawyer development programs and spearheaded the program’s adoption at BOYNECLARKE.
“I have always been passionate about lawyer wellness and development,” say Mayne. “I worked in this area informally in the past. I saw the value it could bring and wanted to commit more time and resources to it.”
Mayne’s new role supports BOYNECLARKE’s existing recruitment and onboarding programs. Primarily focusing on the firm’s associates, lawyer development helps create mentoring and retention opportunities, and ease transitions for those returning from parental or extended leave.
“I work closely with firm leadership to ensure BOYNECLARKE proactively addresses the needs of our lawyers and our clients,” says Mayne. “This role is an innovative approach to legal education, knowledge management and skill development that benefits everybody.”
