How We Help
Our firm runs a number of initiatives designed to strengthen and support our community. These include:
Summer Student Program
This award-winning program connects law students with local community-based organizations, providing both with the support they need to grow and learn. If your organization is chosen to participate, you will receive valuable, pro-bono assistance from a law student. If you are a participating law student, you will receive a competitive salary while you gain work experience with a community-based organization.
Volunteer Time Program
When our employees find a community organization they are passionate about, we are behind them 100%. Through our Volunteer Time Program, employees are provided with paid time off so that they can give back to their communities by working with local service organizations and schools.
Staff-Driven Initiatives
Many of our community efforts are planned and run by members of our staff—in fact, the majority of BOYNECLARKE LLP’s team fundraising efforts are staff-driven. Whether they’re fundraising for one of a number of charities throughout the year, or sponsoring a family during the holidays, our employees are unfailingly committed to bettering our communities.
Community Giving
Every month we donate to a different, staff-selected charity. The Community Giving charities chosen for 2024 are:
- FEED Nova Scotia
- Feeding Others of Dartmouth – Margaret’s House
- Avalon Sexual Assault Centre
- Hope for Wildlife
- Canadian Cancer Society
- IWK Foundation
- Dartmouth North Boys & Girls Club of Greater Halifax
- Shelter Nova Scotia/Barry House
- Mental Health Association of Nova Scotia
- Children’s Wish Foundation
- Bide A While Animal Shelter
BOYNECLARKE LLP also sets one month’s fundraising aside for unexpected events, such as a natural disaster.
