On May 28, 2017, we were a proud sponsor of the Dartmouth North Community Food Centre Gardening Party. For the second year in a row, members of the firm spent the day at the centre helping to build gardening beds, build new plots, create a new herb garden and complete the 4th farm section.
Working side by side with other corporate teams and community members, the Centre raised more than $22, 000 in financial and in-kind support. The Dartmouth North Community Food Centre provides a welcoming space where people come together to grow, cook, share and advocate for good food. They provide people with access to high-quality food in a dignified setting that doesn’t compromise their self-worth. People learn cooking and gardening skills there, and kids get their hands dirty in the garden and kitchen in ways that expand their taste buds and help them to make healthier food choices.
