On April 14, 2020, the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia (Family Division) issued an updated Notice (see attached). Of note,
- The Court is working with the Bar Society Liaison Committee on a revised process and the input of the Bar is being solicited;
- Conciliators are now engaging in preliminary discussions with clients;
- The Court is able to process uncontested divorces, although they still are not able to process new uncontested divorces; and
- The Court remains open to a party making submissions that a denial of parenting time because of COVID-19 needs to be heard as an emergency matter.
