This student blog series is written by Prince Andrew High School student Morgan Wong.
Over the past few months, I have gotten to know a lot of the employees at BOYNECLARKE LLP, each morning I am greeted by countless smiling faces and cheerful greetings. It saddens me to think I only have one more day left because so far it has been such an amazing experience. Every single person I have met has been nothing but helpful and nice!
I have also gotten to know some of the different practice teams within the firm. The hands on learning that goes along with this program has allowed me to see the process of opening and closing files and the transactions that happen during the in between stages. Last week I worked with the IT department, which gave me the chance to see the technical side of the firm’s operations. So far I have worked in the areas of Family Law, Mortgage Enforcement & Collections, Business Litigation, Accounting, IT and Human Resources. In addition to that I have gained knowledge through reading, I recently read an interesting book about Family Law, which one of the family lawyers had recommended to me.
I have learned so much from my placement and I am so grateful I chose to do my placement with BOYNECLARKE LLP. I appreciate everything the firm has done for me to make this experience the best it could be. I wish I could extend my placement as it has been such a great opportunity. I have taken a lot of the information that I have learned and hope to use it in my future legal career. This has helped confirm what I want to do for the rest of my life and I could not be more thankful for every employee at BOYNECLARKE LLP, especially the Human Resources Department.
I hope my last day will be full of learning and that I finish my placement doing what I love!
