Congratulations to articling clerk Edgar Burns who received the Dawn Russell Community Commitment Award at the Dalhousie Schulich School of Law Convocation on May 30, 2016.

The annual Dawn Russell Community Commitment Award recognizes a graduating student who has taken an interest in public service throughout Law School and who has demonstrated intention to pursue a career path devoted to public services.

Edgar will be articling with our firm commencing June 1, 2016. He is currently the Executive Director of the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service and a Teaching Assistant, and has held the positions of Society Auditor and Vice President Finance and Operations for the Dalhousie Student Union as well as serving as a Board Member. In addition, he is Vice President of Policy with the Nova Scotia Young Liberals and volunteers with Andy Fillmore for Halifax, a Federal Liberal candidate.
