BOYNECLARKE LLP Partner, Robert L. Miedema, joins firm’s Executive Committee

BOYNECLARKE LLP, one of Atlantic Canada’s largest law firms, is pleased to announce that Business Law Partner, Robert L. Miedema, has been elected as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.  Rob joins current Executive Committee members James D. MacNeil – Managing Partner, Terrance G. Sheppard – Partner and Chair of the Family Law Team, and Diane C. Norris – Executive Director.

Rob practices tax, estate and corporate law on behalf of individuals, companies of all sizes, trusts and non-profit organizations, within and outside of Canada.  A frequent lecturer about practice area-related topics, Rob has spent 6 years as part-time faculty at Dalhousie University.  Rob has completed Parts I, II and III of the In-Depth Tax Course and 2 advanced tax courses (corporate reorganizations and owner-managed business) offered by the CICA (now CPA Canada).  He is a director of the Dartmouth General Hospital Charitable Foundation, and a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.

A committed member of the firm, Rob served on the firm’s Articling Committee for 6 years and was the Business Development Partner in 2013.  He has been very involved with firm team fundraising activities, the most recent one being the Corporate Games in support of Sport Nova Scotia.
