Gordon F. Proudfoot, Q.C., Honoured as one of Acadia University’s 175 Distinguished Graduates

As part of Acadia University’s 175th anniversary, Acadia has published profiles on 175 distinguished graduates, professors and others who have contributed to their reputation as one of Canada’s finest undergraduate schools. Included on that list, is BOYNECLARKE Partner Gordon F. Proudfoot, Q.C.

The profiles appear in the Acadia Alumni Bulletin as a three-part series titled, ‘Voices of Acadia’, which celebrates nearly two centuries of alumni accomplishments.

Gordon has distinguished himself as a lawyer, teacher, journalist, political organizer, initiator, leader, writer, hockey historian, and family man. His various charitable projects have touched many and resulted in several awards.

He blazed early trails in public access to justice through various projects he led in Nova Scotia and across Canada while serving as President of the Canadian Bar Association. Gordon has great affection for Acadia and enjoyed his work for the Acadia Alumni and the Board of Governors over the years.
